Ed Beatty
Edward Marshall Beatty Jr. (April 6, 1932 – June 7, 2008) was an American football center who played in the National Football League (NFL) for the Washington Redskins, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at the University of Mississippi and was drafted in the first round of the 1954 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams. Clarksdale is a city in and the county seat of Coahoma County, Mississippi, United States. It is located along the Sunflower River. Clarksdale is named after John Clark, a settler who founded the city in the mid-19th century when he established a timber mill and business. University Of Mississippi
The University of Mississippi (byname Ole Miss) is a public research university that is located adjacent to Oxford, Mississippi, and has a medical center in Jackson. It is Mississippi's oldest public university and its largest by enrollment. The Mississippi Legislature chartered the university on February 24, 1844, and four years later it admitted its first 80 students. During the Civil War, the university operated as a Confederate hospital and narrowly avoided destruction by Ulysses S. Grant's forces.
