''Ecstasy'' is the second studio album by American singer Avant. It was released by MCA Records and Magic Johnson Music on March 26, 2002 in the United States. The singer reteamed with Steve "Stone" Huff to produce the majority of the album. It debuted and peaked at number six on the US ''Billboard'' 200 and number two on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, selling more than 713,000 copies. Myron Lavell Avant (born April 26, 1978), mononymously known as Avant, is an American R&B singer. He is known for his songs " Separated", "Read Your Mind", and "Makin' Good Love". He has produced three Platinum-selling albums. He has released 15 singles and 7 albums. Early life and education Avant was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the youngest of five siblings. He did not belong to a wealthy family and grew up watching his mother struggle to provide the best to her children. His mother encouraged him to improve his music skills by playing classic R&B artists like Smokey Robinson, The Supremes, and Marvin Gaye. He was passionate about music since his childhood. MCA Records was an American record label owned by MCA Inc., which later became part of Universal Music Group. Pre-history MCA Inc., a powerful talent agency and a television production company, entered the recorded music business in 1962 with the purchase of the New York-based US Decca Records (established in 1934), including Coral Records and Brunswick Records. MCA was forced to exit the talent agency business in order to complete the merger. Earvin "Magic" Johnson Jr. (born August 14, 1959) is an American former professional basketball player.
