Eco Grand Prix
EcoGP, officially the Eco Grand Prix, is a European 24-hour car race for electric cars. The green series was conceived in 2013 by the world record holder Rafael de Mestre. In 2018, the world's first 24-hour race for electric cars started in the Motorsport Arena in Germany. The series has been a member of DMSB (German Motor Sport Federation) since 2020. The 24-hour race is won by the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. The role model for the series was the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drivers in the cup included Jutta Kleinschmidt, Michel von Tell and Rafael de Mestre. It was the first series in which a Tesla S took part. Forty drivers take part in the race. In addition to Porsche, BMW, Tesla and Jaguar, prototypes are also part of the Grand Prix. The Valencia Street Circuit ( ca-valencia, Circuit Urbà de València, es, Circuito Urbano de Valencia, links=no) was a street circuit in Valencia, Spain which hosted the Formula One European Grand Prix for five years (2008–2012). The first race meeting on the circuit was held over the 23/24 August 2008 weekend, with Felipe Massa winning the main event, the European Grand Prix, after starting from pole position. The circuit used the roads skirting the city's harbour and America's Cup port area – including a section over a swing bridge – and also included some roads designed exclusively for racing purposes by the German architect Hermann Tilke, who also designed the infrastructure buildings for the circuit. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Formula One, Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a long "North loop" track, built in the 1920s, around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle, show vehicle or prototype) is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced.
