Eboardmuseum
The Eboardmuseum, founded in 1987 by the musician, mathematics teacher and engineer Gert Prix, is a collection of electronic keyboard instruments. It very quickly outgrew the original venue and, in 2007, the collection was moved into a hall at the fair area in the centre of Klagenfurt am Wörthersee in Austria and is now considered to be the largest museum of its kind worldwide. In 2010, the Eboardmuseum was honored with the Austrian "Museumsguetesiegel" seal of quality. At the invitation of Google, the Eboardmuseum has been participating in the Music, Makers & Machines project as part of Google Arts & Culture since March 2021. As part of this project, it presents a small selection of its exhibits, accompanied by video examples. The Museum In an area of about 2,000 m2 the Eboardmuseum has about 2,000 exhibits. Gert Prix
Gert Prix (* 25. September 1957 in Klagenfurt) is an Austrian musician, mathematics teacher, informatics teacher and engineer as well as the founder and the head of operations at the Eboardmuseum. Biography Gert Prix was born in Klagenfurt, where he spent his childhood. His father Helmut was a businessman and inventor, his mother Felicitas was employee. In 1984 Prix married his wife Gerti, who gave birth to two children, Thomas and Denise. Musical career Prix started his musical career at the age of 7 at thCarinthian State Conservatorium When he was 15, he was a founding member of a boy group called “Sir Donald”, who went on to become the band “Three Tight”. In 1980 “Three Tight” won ’s ORF TV show “ Die Große Chance” (The Great Chance). Dave Greenslade
David John Greenslade (born 18 January 1943) is an English composer and keyboard player. He has played with Colosseum from the beginning in 1968 until the farewell concert in 2015 and also from 1973 in his own band, Greenslade, and others including If and Chris Farlowe's Thunderbirds. Greenslade was born in Woking, Surrey, England, the son of orchestral arranger Arthur Greenslade. Among his works are '' Cactus Choir'', ''The Pentateuch of the Cosmogony'' (with art by Patrick Woodroffe) and ''From the Discworld''. Television work includes music for the BBC series '' Gangsters'' (1975–1978), '' Bird of Prey'' (1982–1984) and '' A Very Peculiar Practice'' (1986). Peter Wolf (producer)
Peter F. Wolf (born August 25, 1952) is an Austrian composer, producer, songwriter and arranger. In 2002, he was awarded the Austrian Cross of Honour for Science and Art, 1st class (''Österreichische Ehrenkreuz für Wissenschaft und Kunst''). Wolf is married to fashion model and songwriter Lea Wolf-Millesi. Career Wolf studied classical piano at the Conservatory of Music in Vienna. At the age of 16, he won the European Jazz Festival as a solo pianist. Twice he won the Deutscher Schallplattenpreis, a German award, for his work with André Heller and Erika Pluhar. Wolf moved to America in his early twenties. Tangerine Dream
Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music band founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese having been the only constant member until his death in January 2015. The best-known lineup of the group was its mid-1970s trio of Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. In 1979, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann. Ken Hensley
Kenneth William David Hensley (24 August 1945 – 4 November 2020) was an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer, best known for his work with Uriah Heep during the 1970s. He wrote or co-wrote the majority of Uriah Heep's songs during this period, including the hit singles " Lady in Black" (on which he sang lead vocals), " Easy Livin'" and " Stealin'", as well as " Look at Yourself", and "Free Me". Biography Born in Plumstead, south-east London, Hensley moved with his parents, three brothers and sister to Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in 1945. Uriah Heep are an English rock band formed in London in 1969.
