Eau Claire Area School District
The Eau Claire Area School District (ECASD) is a school district in western Wisconsin and the eighth-largest district in the state. Covering approximately , it includes the city of Eau Claire, part of Altoona, parts of the village of Lake Hallie, the towns of Brunswick, Clear Creek, Drammen, Pleasant Valley, Rock Creek, Seymour, Union, Washington, and Wheaton, and the unincorporated communities of Caryville, Cleghorn, Foster, and Mount Hope Corners. The district administers 12 elementary schools, one early learning center, 21 early learning community partner sites, three middle schools, two high schools, and three charter schools. The district has an enrollment of approximately 11,500 and an annual budget of $145 million. The district's graduation rate was 92.4 percent during the 2012-2013 school year. Eau Claire (; ) (French for "clear water") is a city mostly located in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, of which it is the county seat, and with a small portion in Chippewa County, Wisconsin. It had a population of 69,421 in 2020, making it the state's eighth-largest city. Eau Claire is the principal city of the Eau Claire, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area, locally known as the Chippewa Valley, and is also part of the larger Eau Claire-Menomonie Combined Statistical Area. Cleghorn, Wisconsin
Cleghorn is an unincorporated community in the east central part of the town of Pleasant Valley in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin, United States, about six miles south of Eau Claire. Cleghorn is located one mile east of Wis. 93 along Eau Claire County Highway "HH", at the junction of "HH", "I", and "V". The now-extinct community of Hadleyville lies approximately three miles to the west, along Eau Claire County Highway "HH". Clegorn was once the home of Cleghorn Elementary School. Cleghorn school was a small school located in the center of town. Cleghorn school was shut down in 2003. After the school was torn down, a park pavilion was built, and Cleghorn community park established in 2006. Every year, community members hold a Cleghorn Harvest Festival. Memorial High School is a public high school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin that serves grades 9 through 12. It is one of three high schools in the Eau Claire Area School District. Academics Advanced Placement (AP) classes are offered in English, art, music, science, social sciences, and math. About half of Memorial students take AP classes. Music Memorial has two competitive show choirs, the mixed-gender Old Abe Show Choir and the women's-only Eagle Show Choir. Regis High School is a co-ed Catholic high school in Eau Claire, Wisconsin in the Diocese of La Crosse. The school serves grades 9 through 12 in high school, while the school building also houses Regis Middle School which serves grades 6 through 8.
