East Fremantle Oval
East Fremantle Oval (known under a sponsorship agreement as New Choice Homes Park and nicknamed "Shark Park",) is an Australian rules football ground located in East Fremantle, Western Australia. The ground was opened in 1906, and underwent a large redevelopment in 1953. It current serves as the home ground of the East Fremantle Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL). East Fremantle Oval has a capacity of around 20,000 people, but has hosted in excess of this number previously, with a record crowd of 21,317 for a match between East Fremantle and 1979 WANFL season, in 1979. East Fremantle, Western Australia
East Fremantle (nicknamed East Freo) is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located south-west of the central business district. The suburb is mainly residential, and is coterminous with the Town of East Fremantle local government area. Previously serving as an outer, rural area of Fremantle, most of the present-day suburb was originally developed in the late 1890s and early 1900s as a result of the Western Australian gold rushes. Further development occurred in the late 1940s and 1950s to provide dwellings for new immigrants. Pat Rodriguez
Richard Patrick Gerald Rodriguez (16 March 1900 – 2 February 1964) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the West Perth Football Club and Subiaco Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), he was also a long serving administrator in the WAFL. Football career Rodriguez played an unknown number of games for in 1916. He was a prominent player with Subiaco, playing 160 games. He was the WAFL's leading goalkicker in 1920, and played in the Subiaco 1924 premiership team. He began his administrative career as a delegate for Claremont in 1927. He served as a WAFL vice-president from 1933 until 1941, and then again from (1949–1950). He was elected president of the WAFL in 1951, and was elected president of the Australian National Football Council in 1956. He served in both roles until his death in 1964. WACA Ground
The WACA (formally the WACA Ground) is a sports stadium in Perth, Western Australia. The stadium's name derives from the initials of its owners and operators, the Western Australian Cricket Association. The WACA has been referred to as Western Australia's "home of cricket" since the early 1890s, with Test cricket played at the ground since the 1970–71 season. The ground is the home venue of Western Australia's first-class cricket team, the Western Warriors, and the state's Women's National Cricket League side, the Western Fury. Stewart Loewe
Stewart Loewe (born 23 May 1968) is a former Australian rules football player for the St Kilda Football Club. Nicknamed "Buckets" for his big hands and the way he was able to mark the ball with ease, Loewe debuted in 1986 for the St Kilda Football Club after being recruited from Mount Eliza. He played junior football for P. & C. Junior Football Club based in Delacombe Park, Frankston, where his large size helped him excel in the position of ruckman, though he was also known for his poor kicking that would plague him throughout his AFL career. At centre-half-forward, Loewe formed a lethal forward-line partnership with full-forward Tony Lockett. He had an awkward kicking style which sometimes resulted in missing easy shots, but his ability to kick long goals and consistent contested marking more than made up for it. The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional competition of Australian rules football. A Momentary Lapse of Reason Tour was two consecutive concert tours by the British rock band Pink Floyd. The ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason tour'' ran from September 1987 to August 1988; the ''Another Lapse tour'' ran from May–July 1989. Both tours were in support of their album ''A Momentary Lapse of Reason'' (1987). The tour was the band's first since The Wall tour in 1981, and also the first without the band's original bassist Roger Waters.
