East Field is a stadium in Glens Falls, New York, United States that opened in 1980. It is currently used for sporting events, mostly baseball and football. The complex is the former home of the Adirondack Lumberjacks, the Glens Falls White Sox/Glens Falls Tigers (an affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers), the Glens Falls Redbirds, and the Glens Falls Golden Eagles (Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League). Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League
The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) is a 16-team collegiate summer baseball league founded in 2010. As of 2022, all teams are within New York (state). All players in the league must have NCAA eligibility remaining in order to participate. Players are not paid so as to maintain their college eligibility. Each team plays an eight-week, 48 game schedule from June to August with playoffs in early August. The Empire Football League (EFL) is a semi-professional American football league with franchises based primarily in New York State. The league was established in 1969. The Glens Falls Greenjackets are a semi-professional American football team in Glens Falls, NY. The Greenjackets compete in the New England Football League. The Glens Falls Redbirds were a minor league baseball team that played in the New York–Penn League for the 1993 season only and played their home games at East Field located in Glens Falls, New York. The Redbirds were affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals.
