The school is located on 46-21 Colden Street and part of NYCDOE District 25. Judith Friedman is the principal of the school, which has over 1200 students. The school uniform consists of color-coded shirts (green, grey, maroon) corresponding to each grade. History The school was named after scientist Rachel Carson, the writer of ''Silent Spring'' which inspired people to name the school after her; it opened in 1971. Flickr ( ; ) is an American image hosting and video hosting service, as well as an online community, founded in Canada and headquartered in the United States. It was created by Ludicorp in 2004 and was a popular way for amateur and professional photographers to host high-resolution photos.
