Eartha Moore, mononymously known as Eartha, is an American female eclectic and alternative soul singer, songwriter and musician. Eartha debuted her first release ''This I Know'' in 2000. In 2001 she expanded the track ''Love Jones'' from the album into the maxi-single ''Love Jones,'' which consists of five mixes. Her next project ''Sidebars'' was nominated for two Grammy Awards and won one. She continued to write and contribute with musicians and producers, at times as a ghostwriter. On September 21, 2010, Eartha released her third CD album, ''Ink Dry Blue.'' A maxi single or maxi-single (sometimes abbreviated to MCD or CDM) is a music single release with more than the usual two tracks of an A-side song and a B-side song. The first maxi singles Mungo Jerry's first single, "In the Summertime" was the first maxi single in the world. The term came into wide use in the 1970s, where it usually referred to 7-inch vinyl singles featuring one track on the A-side and two on the B-side. The 1975 reissue of David Bowie's "Space Oddity", where the featured song is coupled with "Changes" and "Velvet Goldmine", is a typical example.
