Early Tymes
''Early Tymes'' is a compilation album consisting of demos by Harry Nilsson who recorded for Scott Turner in 1962, when he was still a struggling musician, whose regular job was working in a bank. He was reportedly paid $5 per song to sing vocals to Turner's acoustic guitar. The demos were overdubbed by various studio musicians (including Leon Russell, Herb Alpert and Hal Blaine) in 1962, and then again were dubbed in 1977 and released on the album ''Early Tymes'' in 1977. The demos were then re-dubbed and released in 1994 as ''Nilsson '62: The Debut Sessions'' and contain previously unreleased demos. ''Hollywood Dreamer'' was released in 2001 without any of the overdubs, and contains the unreleased demos "Oh I Wonder" and "On Time". ''Knnillssonn'' is the fourteenth album by Harry Nilsson, released in July, 1977. ''Knnillssonn'' was Nilsson's final album for RCA Records and his personal favorite while recording it, as his voice had recovered from the damage done during the 1974 ''Pussy Cats'' sessions; his songs were more developed and his singing was in top form. RCA Records management agreed and had prepared to promote the record heavily as his comeback album after previous efforts were released with little notice and promotion and were mostly missed by the public. ''Flash Harry'' is the fifteenth studio album by Harry Nilsson. Originally the album was not given a worldwide release and was issued only in the United Kingdom, Japan, Germany, France, Spain, The Netherlands, Australia, and Scandinavia. It was not issued in the United States until August 2013. Upon release it received little promotion from Mercury, with no proper single from the album. The album features Nilsson's own recording of "Old Dirt Road," co-written and performed with John Lennon on Lennon's album ''Walls and Bridges'' (1974), Lennon's last album of original songs before his six-year hiatus. Shortly after the release of this album, Nilsson retired from recording. Herb Alpert (born March 31, 1935) is an American trumpeter who led the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in the 1960s. During the same decade, he co-founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss. Hal Blaine (born Harold Simon Belsky; February 5, 1929 – March 11, 2019) was an American drummer and session musician, thought to be among the most recorded studio drummers in the music industry, claiming over 35,000 sessions and 6,000 singles. John S. Marascalco (March 27, 1931 – July 5, 2020) was an American songwriter most noted for the songs he wrote for Little Richard. He was born in Grenada, Mississippi and died in Los Angeles, California. Career Marascalco co-wrote several of the most seminal songs in 1950s rock and roll. Audie Leon Murphy (20 June 1925 – 28 May 1971) was an American soldier, actor and songwriter. He was one of the most decorated American combat soldiers of World War II.
