Earl Reid
Earl Percy Reid (June 8, 1913 – May 11, 1984) was a professional baseball player. He was a right-handed pitcher for one season (1946) with the Boston Braves. For his career, he compiled a 1-0 record, with a 3.00 earned run average, and two strikeouts in three innings pitched. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
