Eagle Point is a census-designated place in Shelby County, Alabama, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census and is part of the Birmingham Metropolitan Area. The area was struck by a long-tracked low-end EF3 tornado on March 25, 2021, damaging or destroying several homes and downing trees. Five people were injured by the tornado. It was first named as a CDP in the 2020 Census which listed a population of 2,903. Geography The community is in northern Shelby County. It is bordered to the north by the city of Birmingham, to the east by Highland Lakes, to the south by Pelham, and to the west by Meadowbrook. Traditionally one of the nation's busiest for marine transfer operations, notably for crude oil and petroleum products, such as jet fuel and asphalt, it is a port of entry with several facilities within a foreign trade zone. A part of the port is being redeveloped as an adaptable deep water ''omniport'' able to handle a variety of bulk and break bulk cargo, as well as shipping containers. Eagle Point is a town in Chippewa County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The population was 3,053 at the 2010 census. The unincorporated communities of Eagle Point and Eagleton are located in the town. Geography The town of Eagle Point is located in central Chippewa County and is bordered to the south by the city of Chippewa Falls. The south-flowing Chippewa River forms the eastern border of the town, impounded into two reservoirs: Old Abe Lake in the north and Lake Wissota in the south. Eagle Point Park is a public park located in the northeast corner of the city of Dubuque, Iowa, United States. Eagle Point is mostly situated on a bluff that overlooks the Mississippi River and the Lock and Dam No. 11. The park is owned and operated by the city of Dubuque. It was listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. At the time of its nomination it contained 34 resources, which included 14 contributing buildings, seven contributing sites, five structures, five objects, two non-contributing buildings, and two non-contributing structures.
