The EWF Tag Team Championship is the tag team professional wrestling Championship (professional wrestling), title in the Southern California-based Empire Wrestling Federation independent circuit, independent Professional wrestling promotion, promotion. It was established in 1996, when John Black and Johnny Love, The Ghetto Boyz, were declared the first champions. Empire Wrestling Federation
The Empire Wrestling Federation (EWF) is an independent wrestling promotion based in Covina, California. It is owned and operated by Jesse Hernandez. The EWF is also tied to Hernandez's wrestling school, ''The School Of Hard Knocks''. The EWF is the longest running promotion in Southern California, running continuously from 1996. The EWF is a former affiliate of the National Wrestling Alliance. History EWF was founded in 1996 by Bill Anderson and Jesse Hernandez. The promotion's name comes from the Inland Empire, the popular name of the area surrounding San Bernardino. It saw its first show in May 1996 at the Boys and Girls Club of San Bernardino as Bobby Bradley defeated Tom "Zuma" Howard to become the first EWF Heavyweight Champion. In 1999, Bill Anderson left the EWF and formed his own promotion and wrestling school, the International Wrestling Council in Riverside, California. Havana Pitbulls
The Havana Pitbulls was a professional wrestling tag team, consisting of Rocky Romero and Ricky Reyes, who worked for Ring of Honor as a member of The Rottweilers. They also worked for Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Empire Wrestling Federation, Ultimate Pro Wrestling, and Liberty States Wrestling. Los Luchas is a Mexican professional wrestling tag team that consists of Phoenix Star and Zokre. They are best known for their reign as NWA World Tag Team Champions and their tenure in Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (between 2003 and 2009). History Originally called “Los Luchas Espectaculares”, most English speaking announcers couldn't pronounce their name and thus Phoenix Star and Zokre became known simply as "Los Luchas".
