EUTW University Alliance
The European Union Centre in Taiwan (EUTW; ) is a university alliance in Taiwan, funded by European Commission, founded by National Taiwan University (NTU). Its headquarter is also located in NTU. History Since 1998, the European Union (EU) began establishing European Union Centres (variations in name) at prestigious universities in developed countries around the world. As of 2016, there are 32 such centres around the world, such as United States, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia, Russia, New Zealand, Taiwan, and Singapore. In 2008, the European Union Centre in Taiwan (EUTW) consortium consists of seven most comprehensive/internationalization Taiwanese universities, the National Taiwan University (NTU) signed the Grand Agreement with the European Commission. New Taipei City is a Special municipality (Taiwan), special municipality located in northern Taiwan. The city is home to an estimated population of 3,974,683 as of 2022, making it the most populous city of Taiwan, and also the second largest special municipality by area, behind Kaohsiung. Fu Jen Catholic University (FJU, FJCU or Fu Jen; or ) is a private Catholic university in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City, Taiwan. The university was founded in 1925 in Beijing at the request of Pope Pius XI and re-established in Taiwan in 1961 at the request of Pope John XXIII, its name means "assistance" and "benevolence". The EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) is an international school accreditation system. It specializes in higher education institutions of management and business administration, run by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). EQUIS has accredited 189 institutions in 45 countries around the world. In 2022, Equis suspended all the Russian institutions from its ranking.
