ELTE Faculty Of Law
The Faculty of Law of Eötvös Loránd University was founded in 1667 and it is located in Egyetem tér in Belváros-Lipótváros, Budapest, Hungary. History The Faculty of Law was founded in 1667, 32 years later the foundation of Eötvös Loránd University. Between 1667 and 1872, law education was only at the Faculty of Law in Hungary. Since the foundation of the Babeș-Bolyai University (at that time called Franz Joseph University) in 1872, there had been more universities offering courses on law. Since the nineteenth century, there had been a high quality of law education attributed to the following educators: Gusztáv Wenzel, Jenő Balogh, Győző Concha, László Fayer, Béni Grosschmid, Sándor Plósz, Gusztáv Szászy-Schwarz, and Tamás Vécsey. Dean is a title employed in academic administrations such as colleges or universities for a person with significant authority over a specific academic unit, over a specific area of concern, or both. Tamás Fellegi
Tamás László Fellegi (born 7 January 1956) is a Hungarian politician, jurist, political scientist, businessman, who served as Minister of National Development in Viktor Orbán's government from May 29, 2010 to December 14, 2011. After that he was a minister without portfolio in Orbán II Cabinet. Between 1996 and 2000 Sectoral Director, then CEE of Legal and Governmental Affairs of Hungarian Telecom (MATÁV Rt.). Péter Polt
Péter Polt (born 6 September 1955) is a Hungarian jurist, Chief Prosecutor of Hungary from 2000 to 2006 and since 2010. Biography He finished his secondary studies at the Veres Pálné Grammar School in Budapest. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Eötvös Loránd University in 1980. Besides that he participated in postgraduate courses in the University of Strasbourg and the Hague Academy of International Law. He worked for the National Institute of Criminology and Forensic. Kálmán Györgyi
Kálmán Györgyi (24 May 1939 – 17 February 2019) was a Hungarian jurist and academic, who served as Chief Prosecutor of Hungary from 1990 to 2000. Career He graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University in 1964. He studied at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg between 1969 and 1970. László Sólyom ( hu, Sólyom László, ; born 3 January 1942) is a Hungarian political figure, lawyer, and librarian who was President of Hungary from 2005 until 2010. János Németh (31 July 1933 – 1 March 2021) was a Hungarian jurist, lawyer, and professor. He was President of the Faculty of Law of the Eötvös Loránd University for several decades. He was chairman of the from 1990 to 1997 and was President of the Constitutional Court of Hungary from 1998 to 2003.
