ELOY Awards
ELOY (Exquisite Lady of the Year) Awards is an award for women excelling in their field of work. It was established by Tewa Onasanya in 2009. During the ELOY awards which was held in Lagos Continental Hotel in 2018, the convener Tewa Onasanya revealed that the nominees were selected from different walks of life and that there has to be a vote-count before anyone is duly awarded. In 2019, the ELOY awards introduced a new development, in which the awards for the very first time would be celebrating a man, the category will celebrate a man or male-owned company, which empowers and employs women, the CEO, Tewa Onasanya stated that there was need to improve on the previous editions. Tewa Onasanya
Tewa Onasanya is a British-Nigerian publisher, mindset stylist, philanthropist and the Founder/CEO of Exquisite Magazine Services Ltd, the publishers of Exquisite Magazine and the organisers of EMAC Walk and ELOY Awards. ''The Wedding Party'' is a 2016 Nigerian romantic comedy drama directed by Kemi Adetiba. ''The Set Up'' is a 2019 Nigerian crime thriller film directed by Niyi Akinmolayan. The film stars Dakore Akande, Adesua Etomi and Kehinde Bankole in the lead roles. The plot of the film is based on a young woman who drops her childhood innocence as she delves to become a criminal for survival. The film was released on 9 August 2019 and received mixed reviews and was also criticised for too much plot twist and turns in the screenplay.
