EHF Coefficient Rank
The EHF coefficient rank is a list made by European Handball Federation. The list is a result of the clubs of the EHF member federations' results in the EHF Champions League (CL), EHF European League (EL), EHF Cup Winners' Cup (CWC) and EHF European Cup (EC) the past three seasons. Most national federations have five (four from 2012–13) teams in the above-mentioned competitions. There are, however, differences between which competitions they qualify for and in which round they enter. If a national federation has more than one team in the same competition, they may enter the same competition in different rounds. For example, the national federations that have two teams in the women's Champions League: The national champions qualify directly for the group stage, while the runners-up start in the qualification round. European Handball Federation
The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. In 2012 the EHF Office celebrated 20 years since it first opened its doors. In the subsequent years, the number of member countries has expanded from the initial 29 to its current number of 50, after Kosovo was granted full membership at the EHF Congress in Dublin, Ireland in September 2014. The Romanian Handball League, commonly known as Liga Națională or more recently as Liga Zimbrilor, is the men's top Romanian professional Team handball, handball league. The league comprises fourteen teams. History This sport was first played in Romania in 1920. After a visit in Germany, a few physical education teachers introduced this sport in their classes. The ''Liga Națională'' was founded in 1933 (in 11 players) and in 1958 in the current format with 7 players. The Czech Extraliga is the name of the professional handball league of Czech Republic. Competition Format The season begins with a regular season between the twelve teams. The first eight teams qualifies for the play-offs, while the last four plays a relegation round. The Belgian Eerste Klasse (Dutch) or Division 1 (French) is the name of the professional handball league of Belgium. Turkish Handball Super League ( tr, Türkiye Hentbol Süper Ligi) is the highest league in the Turkish handball and comprises the top 12 elite men teams. The league began in 1982–83. Structure The season starts in the end of September with a regular season with 12 teams meeting each other twice. The four best teams after the regular season qualify for the play-off. The Handball Liga Austria (HLA) is the professional handball league of Austria. Competition format The season begins with a regular season between the ten teams. The first five teams qualify for a first playoff round, while the last five play a play-down round. At the end of this second round, the five teams of the playoff round and the top three teams of the play-down round play elimination rounds. Russian Handball Super League
The Russian Handball Super League (RHSL) is the top men's professional team handball league in Russia. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Handball Federation banned Russian and Belarus athletes and officials, and the European Handball Federation suspended the national teams of Russia and Belarus as well as Russian and Belarusian clubs competing in European handball competitions. Referees, officials, and commission members from Russia and Belarus will not be called upon for future activities. REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier professional men's handball league in Norway. It was established in 1966, and it is currently contested by twelve teams. Sandefjord TIF is the championship's most successful team with nine titles, followed by Oppsal IF with six. Elverum Håndball is the most successful in the Playoffs, with 11 titles.
