The EHF Champions Trophy (named IHF Supercup between 1979 and 1983, named EHF Supercup between 1996 and 2007) was an official annual club competition of the European Handball Federation, that was contested until 2008. European Handball Federation
The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria. History EHF was founded on 17 November 1991 in Berlin, Germany, although the first EHF Congress convened on 5 June 1992 and assigned EHF's headquarters to Vienna, Austria from 1 September that year. In 2012 the EHF Office celebrated 20 years since it first opened its doors. In the subsequent years, the number of member countries has expanded from the initial 29 to its current number of 50, after Kosovo was granted full membership at the EHF Congress in Dublin, Ireland in September 2014. Club Balonmano Cantabria was a team of handball based in Santander, Cantabria. CB Cantabria was not registered in any handball league after 2008. History Balonmano Cantabria was founded in 1975 when bought the seat of CB La Salle Authi from Los Corrales de Buelna. La Salle Authi was for a long time sponsored by Authi. Rukometni klub Zagreb ( en, Zagreb Handball Club, ) is a men's professional handball club from Zagreb, Croatia. It competes in the Croatian Premier League, SEHA League, and the EHF Champions League. Virum Sorgenfri
Virum is a mostly residential, suburban neighbourhood in Lyngby-Taarbæk Municipality, located on both sides of Lyngby Kongevej, approximately 15 km north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. The neighbourhood is bordered by Lake Furesø to the west, Holte in Rudersdal Municipality to the north, Brede to the east and Kongens Lyngby and Sorgenfri to the south. History The village of Virum is first mentioned in a papal letter from 1186 but is no doubt considerably older. The name "an open place which is easy to defend" ('' vigi'': "easily defendable place" and -rum: open place). In the letter, Pope Clement III gives the Virum as well as many other villages in the area tio to Bishop Absalon. Absalon soon ceded the villages to the Bishopric of Roskilde. Kolding IF is an association football club based in Kolding, Denmark. The team competes in the Danish 2nd Division, the third tier of Danish football, after suffering relegation at the end of the 2020–21 season. Founded in 1895, Kolding IF played in the top-flight 1982 and 1983 Danish 1st Division championships. In 2002, they joined forces with Kolding Boldklub, the other major football club in Kolding, to form the cooperative Kolding FC first team. CD Bidasoa Irun is a team of handball based in Irún, Spain. It plays in Liga ASOBAL. History The Basque club was founded in 1962. Five years after its foundation, CD Bidasoa managed to get promoted to the second division and after the 1969/1970 season it was promoted to the first division. Eight years was enough to reach the highest class. The team achieved its main successes with the support of the Elgorriaga chocolate company. Drammen HK
Drammen HK is a team handball club from Drammen, Norway. Currently, Drammen HK competes in the Norwegian First League of Handball. The club was founded on March 3, 1992. The foundation was the result of a long going project where handball clubs in Drammen and Lier gathered to discuss how to build a "Top Team" candidate for the region. The project resulted in two clubs joining forces - Reistad IL from Lier and IF Sturla from Drammen. The two clubs transferred their senior players to the new club, but continued as separate entities concentrating on development of children and youngsters. The colors of Drammen HK became blue - the same color as background of the city coat of arms. Reistad IL was qualified to play in Norway Premier Division, so Drammen really got a flying start starting at the top level.
