Team Fakta was a Danish professional road bicycle racing team, which was active in the seasons 1999 to 2003. The main sponsor FDB is a consumer owned grocery chain, whose discount outlets are called ''Fakta''. Nicki Sørensen was on the team from 2000, Kurt Asle Arvesen and Scott Sunderland from 2001 and Magnus Bäckstedt from 2002. René Jørgensen
René Jørgensen (born 26 July 1975) is a former road bicycle racer from Denmark. Career He rode for the Danish professional cycling team, ', which he joined in 1998. He left the team, which by that time had changed the name twice; 2000 season to ''Memory Card – Jack & Jones'' and from 2001 to ''CSC – Tiscali'' after the 2001 season, where he decided to join another Danish team: ''EDS-Fakta''. The team changed its name to Team Fakta, and he rode for the team until it closed in 2003. He went to the Italian team , which, however, also closed, at the end of the 2004 season. In 2005, he signed with the South African team, , which he represented for a single season, before he returned to Denmark to ride for the UCI Continental team, , with whom he remained with until the end of 2010. Cicli Pinarello S.p.A. is an Italian bicycle manufacturer based in Treviso, Italy. Tour De Langkawi
The Tour de Langkawi is a multiple stage bicycle race held in Malaysia. It is named after the archipelago Langkawi, where the first edition started and finished. The race has been held annually since 1996, primarily in February. It usually consists of 10-day-long segments (stages) over 10 days, but has been reduced to eight stages over recent years. While the route changes each year, the Genting Highlands climb, the toughest in the tour, is always included. Tour de Langkawi is sanctioned by the International Cycling Union (UCI) as a 2.HC road race in the UCI Asia Tour calendar. The race will become part of the new UCI ProSeries in 2020. Julian Winn
Julian Winn from Abergavenny, Wales (born 23 September 1972) is a former Welsh competitive cyclist who was formerly directeur sportif at the UCI Continental cycling team Endura Racing. He represented Wales in the 1998 Commonwealth Games at Kuala Lumpur and at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester. He was appointed Welsh Cycling coach in 2005. In 2008, he was GB road race team manager at the Beijing Olympics, overseeing the victory of Welsh compatriot Nicole Cooke. Scott Sunderland (road Cyclist)
Scott G. Sunderland (born 28 November 1966) is an Australian former professional cyclist, who is a now a sports manager and consultant. Sunderland was born in Inverell, a country town in northern New South Wales. He worked double shifts in the Inverell abattoirs to fund his early European racing career. Until he retired at the end of 2004, Sunderland was Australia's longest serving professional cyclist, and placed highly in many of the cycling world's greatest events. As a racer, Sunderland had some injuries and setbacks, the most memorable being when he was struck by a car driven by his former director, Cees Priem, during the 1998 Amstel Gold race. Sunderland recovered and the final few years of his career saw a resurgent Scott Sunderland. Sunderland rode his last Tour de France in 2004.
