Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) (formerly known as NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling and Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling) is a Western Canada-based professional wrestling promotion and a former member of the National Wrestling Alliance. Ladder Match
A ladder match is a type of match in professional wrestling, most commonly one in which an item (usually a title belt) is hung above the ring, and the winner is the contestant who climbs a ladder and retrieves the item. The ladder itself becomes a key feature of the match, as wrestlers will use the ladder as a weapon to strike the opponent(s), as a launching pad for acrobatic attacks, and frequently these matches include impressive falls from the top of the ladder. Billy Suede
Billy Suede is a professional wrestler based out of Western Canada. He is best known for working for NWA: Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling, but has competed for independent promotions in Canada and the United States, as well as in the Philippines. Suede is one of a few wrestlers who came to ECCW after training in Alberta with Lance Storm. Aaron Idol
Aaron Idol (born July 4, 1980) is a Canadian professional wrestler who is best known for his work in Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling, where he rose to become the ECCW Heavyweight Champion. Career Training Idol trained at the ECCW training facility House of Pain by current ECCW roster mate and star Chance Beckett. He then made his debut on March 18, 2001, against Gorilla Magilla. 2005 Pacific Cup Idol competed in the 2005 Pacific Cup. He defeated Memphis Raines in the first round of the tournament. He went on to defeat J. J. Perez in the semi-finals. Idol emerged victorious in the finals on day two of the 2005 Pacific Cup, which was held on April 23, 2005. He defeated Puma and "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson in a triple threat match that lasted 30 minutes. Battle royal (; also royale) traditionally refers to a fight involving many combatants that is fought until only one fighter remains standing, usually conducted under either boxing or wrestling rules. In recent times, the term has been used in a more general sense to refer to any fight involving large numbers of people who are not organized into factions. Within combat sports and professional wrestling, the term has a specific meaning, depending on the sports being discussed.
