Eyes Of An Angel
''Eyes of an Angel'' is a 1991 American drama film starring John Travolta and directed by Robert Harmon. It was released in France, Sweden, and on television in the United States as ''The Tender''. It was released straight-to-video in 1994 under its proper title to coincide with Travolta's bigger name release, ''Pulp Fiction''. According to the opening credits, the movie is based on a true story. The film was shot predominantly in Chicago with some pickups and reshoots in Los Angeles. It was the final film to be produced under the Trans World Entertainment label. Travolta plays Bobby Allen, a down-on-his-luck single father and recovering alcoholic whose wife died of a drug overdose. With no job and no money, he turns to Cissy, his late wife's brother, for a job as a money courier, while his 10-year-old daughter finds a wounded fighting dog. Robert Harmon (director)
Robert Harmon (born 1953) is an American film and television director. He is best known for the 1986 horror film ''The Hitcher (1986 film), The Hitcher'', starring Rutger Hauer, as well as for films like ''They (2002 film), They'' and ''Nowhere to Run (1993 film), Nowhere to Run''. His television work is distinguished by the series of made-for-TV movies featuring fictional Paradise (Mass.) Police Chief Jesse Stone novels, Jesse Stone, which began in 2005 with ''Stone Cold (2005 film), Stone Cold'', starring Tom Selleck, as well as the Emmy-nominated biopics ''Ike: Countdown to D-Day'' (also starring Selleck) and ''Gotti (1996 film), Gotti'', starring Armand Assante. The Deauville American Film Festival (french: Festival du cinéma américain de Deauville, link=no) is a yearly film festival devoted to American cinema, which has taken place since 1975 in Deauville, France.
