Extraño
Extraño is a superhero magician appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Steve Englehart and artist Joe Staton, he first appeared in ''Millennium'' #2 (January 1988). Extraño is noted for being the first openly gay superhero in DC Comics. Originally a character affiliated with the Green Lantern mythos, the character in recent stories is instead cast as a sorcerer in the DC Universe, serving as the magical ally of Midnighter and later both leader and founder of leader of Justice League Queer, a loose network for LGBTQ superheroes who can call on each other for superheroic and personal support. Justice League Queer
Justice League Queer, or JLQ, is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Justice League Queer was an ad-hoc team of LGBTQIA+ heroes formed by Gregorio de la Vega to fight off Eclipso when he attacked a pride parade. The team is a variation on one of DC's long-running properties, the Justice League (originally and sometimes still known as the Justice League of America, commonly abbreviated as "JLA"). The JLQ was originated by Andrew Wheeler and Luciano Vecchio. Publication history DC introduced the concept as one of 16 entries in a bracket tournament called Round Robin, which was announced on DC's Twitter account on March 31, 2021. The New Guardians were a DC Comics superhero team featured in the short-lived eponymous series ''The New Guardians''. It was a spin-off from the ''Millennium'' event and ran for twelve issues, from 1988 through 1989, before being canceled. It is also the name of the group of characters who appeared in the series. The Lords of Chaos and Order are a complementary group of fictional supernatural entities appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. While alluded to since ''1st Issue Special'' #9 (December, 1975), the group would make their first physical appearance in ''DC Special Series'' #10 (1978). While the group is commonly associated with ''Doctor Fate'' titles, they also appear prominently in other comic titles. Midnighter is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books first published by WildStorm and later DC Comics once it absorbed the former. The character was created by writer Warren Ellis and artist Bryan Hitch. Steve Englehart (; born April 22, 1947) is an American writer of comic books and novels. He is best known for his work at Marvel Comics and DC Comics in the 1970s and 1980s. His pseudonyms have included John Harkness and Cliff Garnett. Early life Steve Englehart majored in psychology at Wesleyan University, where he was a member of The Kappa Alpha Society, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969.
