Hampton Roads Executive Airport is a public-use airport seven miles (11 km) southwest of Norfolk and northwest of Chesapeake, Virginia. It is privately owned by Virginia Aviation Associates, L.L.C. Most U.S. airports use the same three-letter location identifier for the FAA and IATA, but Hampton Roads Executive Airport is PVG to the FAA and has no IATA code (IATA assigned PVG to Shanghai Pudong International Airport in China). Millville Executive Airport is in Millville, in Cumberland County, New Jersey. The airport, southwest of the Millville city center, is owned by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) and the City of Millville. It was dubbed "America's First Defense Airport" because of the nearly 1,500 pilots who trained in gunnery practice at the airport with the Republic P-47 "Thunderbolt" plane during World War II. Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport (formerly Opa-locka Airport and Opa-locka Executive Airport until 2014) is a joint civil-military airport located in Miami-Dade County, Florida north of downtown Miami. Part of the airport is in the city limits of Opa-locka. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems for 2011–2015 called it a general aviation ''reliever airport''. Miami Executive Airport, formerly known until 2014 as Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport, is a public airport in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, southwest of Downtown Miami. It is operated by the Miami-Dade Aviation Department. The airport opened on November 18, 1967, replacing Tamiami Airport, next to the Tamiami Trail. Growth of the surrounding area and the nearby flight path to Miami International Airport had forced the move to the southwest, near the community of Kendall. Florida International University is now on the site of the old Tamiami Airport. This airport is publicly owned by Collier County. The Marco Island Executive Airport is conveniently located to Naples, Marco Island, Goodland and Isles of Capri. The airport was initially designed to complement plans to create a resort area south of Naples. Immediately following completion in 1976, the airport was primarily used as a marketing tool to help sell Marco Island lots. Leesburg Executive Airport at Godfrey Field is a town-owned public-use airport located three nautical miles (6 km) south of the central business district of Leesburg, a town in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. It is a busy general aviation airport in the Washington, D.C. area, and a reliever for nearby Washington Dulles International Airport. History Leesburg Executive Airport was built in 1963 to replace an earlier grass field on the eastern edge of the town, which was owned and used by radio personality Arthur Godfrey for his private DC-3 aircraft. Johnson County Executive Airport is a public airport located four miles (6 km) southeast of the central business district (CBD) of Olathe, a city in Johnson County, Kansas, United States. Measured by number of aircraft operations, the facility was the fourth-busiest airport in the state of Kansas in 2018. Jacksonville Executive at Craig Airport , formerly known as Craig Municipal Airport, is a public airport located eight miles (13 km) east of the central business district of Jacksonville, in Duval County, Florida, United States. It is owned by the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. This mid-sized general aviation airport handles personal aircraft and small commuter planes.
