Everything Goes (game Show)
''Everything Goes'' is a game show that aired in the US from 12 September 1981 to 28 September 1988, with comedian Kip Addotta as host. It originally aired on Escapade for its first three years, then moved to the Playboy Channel in 1984 (which aired reruns of those first three seasons, and produced new episodes under the title ''The All-New Everything Goes''). The show was produced by Scott Sternberg Productions. It was described as a "sort of cross between ''Hollywood Squares'' and strip-poker. The show's theme song was " Piccadilly" by Squeeze; while the open used only the instrumental open/close of the song (with a drumroll in between, to punctuate host Addotta's intro), the full-length version was used during the closing credits. Kip Addotta
Francis Kip Addotta (June 16, 1944 – August 13, 2019) was an American stand up comedian. He made several appearances on television during the 1970s including ''The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson'', ''The Mike Douglas Show'', ''Dinah!'', '' American Bandstand'', '' The Midnight Special'', ''Don Kirshner's Rock Concert'', and the game shows ''The Hollywood Squares'' and ''Make Me Laugh''. Addotta was also featured on the ''Dr. Demento'' radio show. He is probably best known for his comedy recording "Wet Dream". Other recordings include "Big Cock Roach" and "Life in the Slaw Lane." Addotta appeared as the opening act for several superstars like Diana Ross, Paul Anka and Liza Minnelli, among others. Playboy TV (originally The Playboy Channel) is a pay television channel based in the United States. History The channel first launched on December 9, 1980, as Escapade by Rainbow Programing Services (a joint-venture of four cable companies, led by Cablevision). At launch, Escapade aired mostly R rated B movies. The channel aired five nights a week from 9 PM to 4 or 6 AM, Tuesday through Saturday. Sunday and Monday nights were reserved for Rainbow's other new channel Bravo. The satellite time the two networks used was subleased from National Christian Network. By July 1981, the service expanded to seven nights a week. In August 1981, Playboy Enterprises became half-owner of Escapade and announced a plan to produce original programming that reflected the contents of Playboy magazine beginning in early 1982. Hollywood Squares
''Hollywood Squares'' (originally ''The Hollywood Squares'') is an American game show in which two contestants compete in a game of tic-tac-toe to win cash and prizes. The show piloted on NBC in 1965 and the regular series debuted in 1966 on the same network. The board for the game is a 3 × 3 vertical stack of open-faced cubes, each occupied by a celebrity seated at a desk and facing the contestants. The stars are asked questions by the host and the contestants judge the truth of their answers to gain squares in the right pattern to win the game. Though ''Hollywood Squares'' was a legitimate game show, the game largely acted as the background for the show's comedy in the form of joke answers (commonly called "zingers" by the production staff), often given by the stars prior to their real answer. East Side Story (Squeeze Album)
''East Side Story'' is the fourth studio album by New wave music, new wave group Squeeze (band), Squeeze. The album peaked at number 19 in the UK Albums Chart, spending 26 weeks in the listing. The album marked a shift from the new wave sound of their earlier work, as it contained songs influenced by rockabilly, Rhythm and blues, R&B, blue-eyed soul, Beat music, Merseybeat, and psychedelia among other genres. It also contained Squeeze's last top 10 UK single, "Labelled with Love". It was the first album to feature new keyboardist Paul Carrack, replacing Jools Holland who had departed in early 1981. He sang lead on the track "Tempted (Squeeze song), Tempted", which became Squeeze's first U.S. chart hit. Squeeze (band)
Squeeze are an English rock band that came to prominence in the United Kingdom during the new wave period of the late 1970s, and continued recording in the 1980s, 1990s and 2010s. In the UK, their singles " Cool for Cats", "Up the Junction", and " Labelled with Love" were top-ten chart hits; "Pulling Mussels" only made it to 44 in the UK charts. Though not as commercially successful in the United States, Squeeze had American hits with " Tempted", " Black Coffee in Bed", and "Hourglass", and were considered a part of the Second British Invasion. The vast majority of their material is composed of lyrics by Chris Difford and music by Glenn Tilbrook, who are guitarists and vocalists in the band. A G-string is a type of thong, a narrow piece of fabric, leather, or satin that covers or holds the genitals, passes between the buttocks, and is attached to a waistband around the hips.
