Everybody (Stabilo Song)
"Everybody" is a song by Canadian rock band Stabilo (band), Stabilo. Originally released from Stabilo Boss (album), Stabilo Boss, and was again released on Cupid?. Both times it was a single, though much of the production of later versions seem to echo the direction of its 2000 Producer, Matthew J Doughty (sometimes credited as Matt Doughty). Air time for Everybody, and Stabilo, started when a DJ at the Vancouver's XFM decided to play "Everybody" on their music competition show, Chaos. The song dominated the station's Top 7@7 charts for nearly a month. In 2004, the song was rerecorded during the Cupid? sessions at the historic Mushroom studios, with John Wozniak of Marcy Playground. It was also re-released as a bonus track on their 2006 album ''Happiness and Disaster.'' Chart positions References

Stabilo (originally Stabilo Boss) was a Canadian rock band from Maple Ridge, British Columbia. It formed in 1999 and is best known for its songs " Everybody", "One More Pill", " Don't Look in Their Eyes", " Flawed Design", and " Kidding Ourselves". Band’s history Before Stabilo Members Jesse Dryfhout and Christopher John (then Chris Moerman) were high-school classmates who played in a band called Molly along with Shaun Bennett and McKenzie Dougall. Molly released their only EP ''Ghosts of Yesterday'' in 1997. Dryfhout was originally the drummer of the band until he came to the band with the first song that he had ever written: "Everybody". Soon after, he and John started to share song-writing and singing duties. '' Cupid?'' is the first album by Canadian rock band Stabilo with a major record label and their first with their new modified name (originally "Stabilo Boss"). It contains seven songs, including the hit "Everybody". The songs "Stone", "Any Other Girl" and "Enemy" were new songs recorded specifically for the album. John Wozniak
John Keith Wozniak (born January 19, 1971) is an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the band Marcy Playground. Early life Wozniak was born and raised in Minneapolis. He learned how to play the guitar at the age of 14. Career Wozniak's first solo effort was ''Zog BogBean – From the Marcy Playground'' recorded in his own home in 1990. In 2006 he recorded his second solo album, ''Leaving Wonderland...in a fit of rage'' (Produced by Jeff Dawson) and while searching for a label to release it on, decided to call it a Marcy Playground album and include new songs recorded with the rest of the band. Marcy Playground
Marcy Playground is an American alternative rock band consisting of three members: John Wozniak (lead vocals, guitar), Dylan Keefe (bass), and Shlomi Lavie (drums). The band is best known for their 1997 hit "Sex and Candy". History Early years The band is named after the Marcy Open grade school in Minneapolis, which is the alternative school John Wozniak attended. He chose the name because many of his songs were inspired by his childhood. Marcy Playground emerged in the late 1990s. ''Happiness & Disaster'' is the first full-length album by Canadian indie rock band Stabilo. The album debuted at #6 on the digital album chart and #20 on the Soundscan Top 200.
