The tracks were recorded at One on One Studios, Can Am Recorders, Cherokee Studios, The Village Recorder, The Record Plant, and Artisan Sound Recorders. The album produced four singles: "Love Touch", "Another Heartache", " In My Life", and "Every Beat of My Heart." In the United States, the album was released under the eponymous title of ''Rod Stewart.'' Content Included on this album is the song "Love Touch", which gained popularity as the theme to the Robert Redford film '' Legal Eagles''. "Love Touch" was written by Holly Knight, Mike Chapman, and Gene Black. The album also includes a cover of Lennon–McCartney's "In My Life", one of several times Rod covered them. Sharissa Dawes (born August 21, 1975) is an American singer. Born and raised in New York City's borough of Brooklyn, she began her musical career in the girl groups Triple Dose and 4Kast. 4Kast released their 1998 debut album, ''Any Weather'', which was promoted with the singles "Miss My Lovin and "I Tried". After her time in the groups, Sharissa worked as a backing vocalist before she was discovered by Jimmy Henchman. Her debut solo album, ''No Half Steppin (2002), peaked at number 44 on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart. Several of its songs appeared on other ''Billboard'' charts. Sharissa was featured the soundtrack of the 2003 romantic comedy film, '' Love Actually''. Her second solo album, ''Every Beat of My Heart'' (2005), was only released in Japan. "Every Beat of the Heart" is a song by English new wave band the Railway Children, released as the lead single from their third studio album, ''Native Place'' (1990), in February 1990. The track was written by lead singer Gary Newby while production was helmed by Steve Lovell and Steve Power, and it was recorded in London in mid-1989. Music critics responded positively to the song, calling it an improvement on the band's earlier works.
