Evaristo Barrera
Evaristo Vicente Barrera (December 30, 1911 – June 7, 1982) was an Argentine football striker. He played for Racing Club de Avellaneda and a number of football clubs in Italy. He was born in Rosario. Barrera started his professional career in 1932 with Racing Club, he was twice the topscorer in the Argentine Primera, in 1934 with 34 goals and in 1936 with 32 goals. By the end of his time with Racing Club, Barrera had scored 136 goals in 142 games. He still holds the record as the club's highest scoring player. In 1938 Barrera moved to Italy, he played for Lazio and Napoli in Serie A before dropping down into the lower leagues where he played for Ascoli. During the war years he played for Novara and Gozzano in the Italian War Championships. After the end of the war he played for Cremonese and Mortara, retiring in 1948. Evaristo Coronado Salas (born 13 September 1960) is considered the best Costa Rican football striker during the 1980s. Club career Born in Ciudad Cortés, Coronado is one of the most recognized sports figures in his country. He played his entire career of 14 seasons for Deportivo Saprissa, where he holds the team record for most appearances made and goals scored ever. He made his debut on 3 May 1981 against Herediano and scored his first goal on 24 May 1981 against San Carlos. He scored a total of 148 league goals in 537 games dressed as a ''Morado'' (purple), the nickname of the Saprissa players. Evaristo Baschenis (7 December 1617 – 16 March 1677) was an Italian Baroque painter of the 17th century, active mainly around his native city of Bergamo. Biography He was born to a family of artists. He is best known for still lifes, most commonly of musical instruments. This could explain his friendship with a family with notable violin makers from Cremona. ''Still-life'' depiction were uncommon as a thematic among Italian painters prior to the 17th century. Baschenis, along with the more eccentric 16th-century painter Milanese Arcimboldo, represents provincial outputs with idiosyncratic tendencies that appear to appeal to the discernment of forms and shapes rather than grand manner themes of religious or mythologic events. Evaristo Muñoz Estarlich (1684, Valencia – 1737, Valencia) was a Spanish Baroque painter; a follower of the decorative style introduced to Valencia by Antonio Palomino. Some sources give his year of birth as 1671. Biography He studied with Juan Conchillos and, in addition to his artwork, was known as a dancer, theatrical performer and fencer. He moved to Palma de Mallorca in 1709 to paint the communion chapel at the and married a woman who said she was a widow of someone who had been taken captive in Algiers, which nullified their marriage. Evaristo Martelo y Paumán del Nero Nuñez y Zuazo-Mondragón, 6th Marquess of Almeiras (1850–1928), was a Spanish aristocrat, writer and politician. He is known chiefly as a poet who contributed to emergence of the literary Galician and who is counted among protagonists of the so-called ''Rexurdimento''. He perceived '' galego'' as a royal language of ancient rulers, framed in the Celtic mythology, and opposed the concept of Galician as a rural folk speak. Evaristo Márquez Contreras (February 3, 1929 – January 24, 1996) was a Spanish sculptor. Early life Evaristo Márquez Contreras was born in Juan Gallego, a small village in El Madroño, in Seville, Andalusia, Spain. He was the first son of Evaristo Márquez Fernández and Librada Contreras Alonso. When he was four, his family moved to Nerva, in the province of Huelva. He attended primary school there. In secondary school he received a vocational certificate in bookkeeping and earned a certificate of specialization in mining.
