European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The European Men's Artistic Gymnastics Championships are an annual series of artistic gymnastics championships for male gymnasts from Europe, European countries organised by the European Union of Gymnastics. History Originally held biannually and in odd-numbered years, the championships moved to even-numbered years in 1990. In 2005 a second set of championships was introduced, titled the "individual championships". Although numbered as a separate event, winners in either event are considered European champions, and the championships as a result have in effect become an annual event, but in two formats; in even-numbered years, a stand-alone men's event incorporates the European Junior Artistic Gymnastics championships (an entirely separate women's competition is held in the same years), while in odd-numbered years, the separately numbered 'individual championships' are held in conjunction with the women's competition of the same description, but without juniors, as a single event. ... Miroslav Cerar
Miroslav Cerar (; born 28 October 1939) is a Yugoslav former gymnast and lawyer of Slovene ethnicity who won the pommel horse event at the 1964 and 1968 Summer Olympics. He also won three world and nine European championships. Domestically, Cerar won 13 national titles and was chosen eight times as Yugoslavia’s Athlete of the Year. He was awarded the Olympic Order in Silver by the International Olympic Committee. He was member of the Slovenian Olympic Academy, the Fair Play Commission of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, and the Executive Committee of the European Fair Play Movement. Family Cerar was married to Zdenka Cerar (née Prusnik), who was the first female State Prosecutor General of the Republic of Slovenia (1999–2004), Minister of Justice (2004) and Vice-President of the LDS.
