Ethnoworld
Ethnoworld is a record label and music publisher established in 2000 and based in Milan. The core genres of its catalogue are ethnic, folk and world music, but over the years Ethnoworld's releases have spanned from jazz to classical, through contemporary (rock, pop, minimalist) music. Among the main acts signed to the label there are (or were) Celtic Harp Orchestra, The Afterglow, F.B.A., Kal Dos Santos, Alexian Group. Despite having worked also with major record companies (notably with E.M.I., BMG Ricordi, Universal and Warner), the label has failed to reach commercial success and today is mainly active as a music publisher. During 2003 edition of the Samonios Festival (Milan), Ethnoworld has been awarded as "Best Folk Label of the Year". The Afterglow
''The Afterglow'' are an Italian rock band with clear English influences founded in 1998. History Founder members the half-English frontman Dave Timson and guitarist Mik Lennard, who started the band in 1998. After a few line up changes drummer Alex Cherry, joined in 2002. The band decided to base themselves partially in Italy and partially in the UK on account of their sound which it was felt was more akin to an English four-piece than to a typical Italian band. Timson's ability to write and speak fluent English on account of a Sheffield-born mother was the principal reason for this. From 2004 to 2010 The Afterglow have been managed by Ethnoworld/Silent Revolution partner and managing director Valerio Meletti. Celtic Harp Orchestra
The Celtic Harp Orchestra (CHO), founded in 2002 by Fabius Constable, is a musical formation composed primarily of lever harps, or Celtic harps, as they are commonly known, alongside other instruments such as cello, violin, flute, accordion, guitar, bass, drums, soprano voice and choir. As of June 2018 CHO has released seven albums currently distributed by the label Ignorelands. The musicians who are part of this project form an interesting and harmonious heterogeneous group, aged between 17 and 60 years. In full, the formation numbers 16 harpists, of whom 12 are women. An important role in characterizing the sound of the Celtic Harp Orchestra goes to the voice of soprano Donatella Bortone, who joined the group in 2003, after having worked with Fabius Constable in an earlier project, "Fir Soar", CHO is considered the largest Celtic harp orchestra in Europe. The Myst
''The Myst'' is a studio album recorded by Celtic Harp Orchestra, released by Ethnoworld in 2005. The CD has been released in a limited edition as well, which includes in the cardboard double-box, an empty disc, pre-printed with the original graphics, to allow fans to burn an extra copy of The Myst. Footnotes
A note is a string of text placed at the bottom of a page in a book or document or at the end of a chapter, volume, or the whole text.
