Edgar Edmund Estcourt, M.A. (1816–1884), was canon of St. Chad's Roman Catholic Cathedral, Birmingham. Life Estcourt, born 7 February 1816, was the eldest son of the Rev. Edmund William Estcourt of Newntown, Wiltshire, one of the Estcourts of Estcourt, Gloucestershire. Frederick Estcourt Bucknall
Frederick Estcourt Bucknall (6 July 1835 – 4 June 1896) was an English-born publican, brewer and politician in the early days of the colony of South Australia. Life Bucknall was a member of the Estcourts of Estcourt, an influential old family, in the counties of Gloucester and Wiltshire, but born in London, where his father, William Bucknall of Crutched Friars, was Commodore of the Royal Thames Yacht Club. Shortly after he arrived in South Australia around 1860 via Melbourne, the original Torrens Dam was nearly completed, and he built a fleet of fine pleasure craft which he placed on the lake for hire, but the dam failed and was washed away, putting paid to his enterprise. He built a boatshed on the Port River to the south-east of where the Jervois Street bridge was later built, and created a great deal of interest in sculling on the Port River. George Thomas John Sotheron-Estcourt, 1st Baron Estcourt (21 January 1839 – 12 January 1915), known as George Bucknall-Estcourt until 1876 and as George Sotheron-Estcourt from 1876 to 1903, was a British Conservative Party politician. Giles Estcourt
Sir Giles Estcourt, 1st Baronet (c. 1601–1668) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1628 to 1629. He fought for the Royalist cause in the English Civil War. Escourt was the son of Sir Edward Estcourt of Salisbury. He matriculated at Wadham College, Oxford on 8 May 1618 aged 17 and entered Lincoln's Inn in 1618. He was knighted on 6 December 1622 and created a baronet on 17 March 1627. In 1626 he was of Newnton when he became High Sheriff of Wiltshire. In 1628, Estcourt was elected Member of Parliament for Cirencester and sat until 1629 when King Charles decided to rule without parliament for eleven years. He fought for the King in the civil war and was taken prisoner after the fall of Bath. He was assessed for a fine of £1000 but neither compounded nor paid the fine. James Bucknall Bucknall Estcourt
James Bucknall Bucknall Estcourt (1803–1855), was a major-general and MP. Early life Estcourt, son of Thomas Grimston Bucknall Estcourt, M.P., and younger brother of Thomas Henry Sutton Sotheron Estcourt, was born on 12 July 1802. He was educated at Harrow School, and entered the army as an ensign in the 44th regiment on 13 July 1820. Military career On 7 June 1821 he was transferred to the 43rd Monmouthshire light infantry, in which he was promoted lieutenant on 9 December 1824, and captain on 4 November 1825. He spent the next five years of his military life in Gibraltar. He returned to England and then Ireland. In 1834 he accepted the post of second in command to Colonel F. R. Chesney in the famous Euphrates Valley Expedition, and was placed in charge of the magnetic experiments. Noël Estcourt
Noël Sidney Dudley Estcourt (7 January 1929 – 7 January 2018) was a Rhodesian sportsman who played international rugby union for England and first-class cricket. Estcourt was born in Southern Rhodesia but educated in South Africa. When he moved to England, it was to further his studies at Cambridge University. He played two first-class seasons with the Cambridge University Cricket Club, in 1953 and 1954. In the first of those years he played just six matches but was used considerably more in 1954, appearing in 15 matches. He scored both of his half-centuries in 1954, to go with his 19 wickets. Estcourt was also a good enough rugby union player at university and for Blackheath, that he was capped once for England in the 1955 Five Nations Championship. Nick Estcourt
Nick Estcourt (1942 – 12 June 1978), educated at Eastbourne College, was a British climber killed on K2 by an avalanche on the West Ridge route. He took part in the 1970 British Annapurna South Face expedition. One of his notable achievements, with Paul ('Tut') Braithwaite was the first ascent of the Rock Band, a line of cliffs on the expedition to the South West Face of Everest in 1975 that had defeated several previous expeditions. Since 1980, the Nick Estcourt Award, established in his memory, to encourage future generations of mountaineers, grants financial assistance annually to expeditions who attempt a significant mountaineering objective.Nick Estcourt Award

Stephen Peter Estcourt (born 20 March 1953 in Hobart, Tasmania) is an Australian judge, who has been Puisne Judge of the Supreme Court of Tasmania since April 2013. From 2004 to 2013, he maintained barristers' chambers in Hobart and Melbourne, dividing his time between the two. Education Estcourt was educated at New Town High School and Elizabeth Matriculation College and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree with Honours from the University of Tasmania in 1974. Sir Thomas Estcourt (c. 1570 – 4 July 1624) was an English lawyer and politician who sat in the House of Commons in 1624.
