Carlos Schlieper
Carlos Schlieper (23 September 1902 – 11 April 1957 in Buenos Aires) was an Argentina, Argentine film director and screenwriter of the classic era. His father, Hermann Heinrich Schlieper Feldmann (1842-1925), was an industrialist of Germans, German nationality and his mother, very Catholic, was Spaniard (from Andalusia). Schlieper, who had three male and three female siblings, received a careful education that included traveling abroad and studies at a high school in Switzerland. He directed some 30 films between 1939 and 1957, writing for over 20 of them. He was particularly noted for his romantic comedies in 1940s and 1950s, directing films such as ''La serpiente de cascabel'' (1948), ''Arroz con leche (1950 film), Arroz con leche'' (1950), ''Cuando besa mi marido'' (1950), ''Mi mujer está loca'' (1952) and ''Mi marido y mi novio'' (1955). Rosa María Juana Martínez Suárez (born 23 February 1927), known by her stage name Mirtha Legrand (″Legrand″ being a portmanteau for the French , "the great") is an Argentine actress and television presenter. With an 80-year career, Legrand is one of the most recognized entertainment figures in Argentina. Despite having appeared in 36 films and 20 theatrical performances, Legrand is best known for her interview television programme ''Almorzando con las estrellas'' that first aired in 1968 on Alejandro Romay's channel 9. The show was later renamed ''Almorzando con Mirtha Legrand''. Early life and career Legrand was born on 23 February 1927 in Villa Cañás. Osvaldo Miranda (actor)
Osvaldo Isaías Mathon Miranda (November 3, 1915 – April 20, 2011) was an Argentine film and television actor whose credits also included more than fifty stage productions. He was born in Villa Crespo neighbourhood, in Buenos Aires, to Spanish immigrants. Miranda began his career as a tango dancer. His film credits included '' Cita en las estrellas'' in 1949 and ''Los muchachos de antes no usaban gomina'' in 1969. Miranda also appeared in numerous television roles including '' Mi cuñado'', '' La nena'' and the long-running television series, '' Escala Musical''. Miranda was the namesake of the Argentine electropop group, Miranda!. Miranda died on April 20, 2011, in Buenos Aires at the age of 95.
