Erpobdella Bucera
''Erpobdella'' is a genus of leeches in the family Erpobdellidae. Members of the genus have three or four pairs of eyes, but never have true jaws, and are typically long. All members do not feed on blood, but instead are predators of small aquatic invertebrates, which they often swallow whole. Species The genus includes species previously classified under the genera ''Croatobranchus'', ''Mooreobdella'', ''Trocheta'' and ''Nephelopsis''. These were synonymized into ''Erpobdella'' by Sidall (2002) after morphogenetic analysis. There are over 30 currently accepted species: * ''Erpobdella adani'' (Tessler, Siddall, & Oceguera-Figueroa, 2018) * ''Erpobdella anoculata'' (Moore, 1898) * ''Erpobdella bhatiai'' Nesemann, 2007 * ''Erpobdella borisi'' Chichocka et al., 2015 * '' Erpobdella bucera'' (Moore, 1953) * ''Erpobdella bykowski'' (Gedroyc, 1913) * ''Erpobdella concolor'' Annandale, 1913 * ''Erpobdella costata'' Sawyer & Shelley, 1976 * ''Erpobdella dubia'' (Moore & Meyer, 1951) * '' ...

Erpobdella Octoculata
''Erpobdella octoculata'' is a freshwater leech in the Erpobdellidae family. This species can be found in Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East (Iran and Turkey). Description This tube- shaped species ranges from 3– 7 cm long. Like all leeches, E. octoculata has 32 fixed segments. Segments 1-4 contain the head, along with the brain, and oral sucker. The mid- body is composed of segments 5- 25 where bodily organs are. The tail sucker is housed in segments 26-32. The body color of ''E. octoculata'' ranges from yellow green to a reddish brown. This color depends on the amount of non-pigmented spots surrounding the sensory buds. Individuals with a higher percentage of non-pigmented spots on its dorsum appear yellow green. Those with a higher percentage of pigment appear a reddish brown. Body color also corresponded to different substrates at the bottoms of aqueous habitats such as stones (lightly colored) or plants (darker color). ''Erpobdella octoculata'' has 4 pa ...

Erpobdella Mestrovi
''Erpobdella mestrovi'' is a species of troglobitic leech found only in deep caves in Northern Velebit, part of the Dinaric Alps of Croatia. The leech was first found in Lukina jama in 1994, which at 1431 meters deep is the deepest cave in Croatia. The leech has been found in several other caves systems in Velebit such as Slovacka jama (-1320 m), Olimp (-531 m) and Velebita (-1026 m), and is currently considered endemic to Croatia. This leech inhabits underground streams and has several adaptations to deal with a rheophilic and troglobitic A troglobite (or, formally, troglobiont) is an animal species, or population of a species, strictly bound to underground habitats, such as caves.
