Ernest Borek
Ernest Borek (May 25, 1911 – February 14, 1986) was a Hungarian-American microbiologist, university professor, cancer researcher, and author. He was a professor at City University of New York (1934-1969) and Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (1955-1969). Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body. These contrast with benign tumors, which do not spread. Possible signs and symptoms include a lump, abnormal bleeding, prolonged cough, unexplained weight loss, and a change in bowel movements.
