Erin White (feminist Theologian)
Erin Gabrielle White (born 1941) is a feminist philosopher and theologian. As an author she contributed significantly to feminist scholarship in Australia. She was the founder of the Sydney Women-Church Group and one of the founding editors of '' Women-Church: an Australian journal of feminist studies in religion''. Early life and education Erin White was born in 1941. She completed her PhD in the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Sydney. Her doctoral thesis, Itineraries of meaning: Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic of the idea of the sacred, was completed in 1986. Career White was a nun for 15 years from 1960 to 1975. A bracket is either of two tall fore- or back-facing punctuation marks commonly used to isolate a segment of text or data from its surroundings. Mannix Library is an academic theological library located in East Melbourne, Victoria, East Melbourne, Australia. The library specialises in the areas of theology, philosophy, biblical studies and associated disciplines, and supports teaching and research at Catholic Theological College and the wider University of Divinity. Joan Nowotny
Joan Nowotny IBVM (18 August 1925 - 29 June 2008) was an Australian academic and professor of philosophy. She became the first woman to lead a theological institution in Australia, when she was appointed the academic dean of Yarra Theological Union. Early life and education Joan Nowotny was born on 18 August 1925 in Melbourne, Australia, the first-born child of Henry and Mary Nowotny. Her father was a teacher who had emigrated from Vienna and settled in Australia, helping to found an orchestra in Perth. The family moved to Brisbane, Queensland, where Nowotny attended a convent school run by the Loreto Sisters. After graduating from Loreto College in Brisbane, Nowotny pursued a career in teaching. Dorothy Lee (theologian)
Dorothy Ann Lee (born 1953) is an Australian theologian and Anglican priest, formerly dean of the Trinity College Theological School, Melbourne, a college of the University of Divinity, and continuing as Frank Woods Distinguished Professor of New Testament. Her main research interests include the narrative and theology of the Gospels, particularly the Gospel of John, spirituality in the New Testament, the Transfiguration and Anglican worship. Maryanne P. Confoy RSC (born 15 April 1944) is an Australian religious Sister of Charity who has also been a teacher and scholar, working primarily in the areas of ministry and spirituality. Early life and education Maryanne Confoy was born on 15 April 1944.
