Erik Sorga
Erik Sorga (born 8 July 1999) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Sumgayit in the Azerbaijan Premier League and the Estonia national team. Career On 8 January 2020, Sorga signed with Loudoun United, D.C. United's reserve team. The transfer fee was reportedly $500,000. Sorga was then acquired by the first team D.C. United on 29 February 2020. Sorga made his MLS debut on 7 March 2020, in a game against Inter Miami. He scored his first goal for the team on 2 September 2020, in a 1–0 win against the New York Red Bulls. On 12 August 2021, Sorga joined Eerste Divisie side, VVV-Venlo, for the remainder of their season. On 8 January 2022, Sorga joined IFK Göteborg on a permanent transfer. The 2018 Esiliiga was the 28th season of the Esiliiga, the second-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season began on 1 March 2018 and concluded on 11 November 2018. Defending champions Maardu Linnameeskond won their second Esiliiga title. Esiliiga
The Esiliiga is the second division in the Estonian football league system. The Esiliiga is ranked below the Meistriliiga and above the Esiliiga B. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts in March and ends in November. The league features several reserve teams of Meistriliiga clubs. According to the rules set by the Estonian Football Association, reserve teams are ineligible for promotion to the Meistriliiga, but can play in the Estonian Cup. Competition format During the season, the teams play each of the other four times, twice at home and twice away. This makes for a total of 36 games played each season. The teams gain three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a defeat. Promotion and relegation between divisions is a central feature of the league. The UEFA Euro 2020 qualifying tournament was a football competition that was played from March 2019 to November 2020 to determine the 24 UEFA member men's national teams that advanced to the UEFA Euro 2020 final tournament, played across Europe in June and July 2021. The competition was linked with the 2018–19 UEFA Nations League, giving countries a secondary route to qualify for the final tournament. For the first time since 1976, no team automatically qualified for the UEFA European Championship as the host country. Rauno Sappinen (born 23 January 1996) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ekstraklasa side Stal Mielec, on loan from Piast Gliwice, and the Estonia national team. The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason.
