Erik Shoji
Erik Thomas Shoji (born August 24, 1989) is an American professional volleyball player. He is a member of the US national team, a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games Rio 2016 and the 2018 World Championship, 2014 World League and 2015 World Cup winner, and the 2022 Champions League winner. At the professional club level, he plays for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Personal life Shoji's parents are Dave and Mary Shoji. His older brother Kawika Shoji is also a player (setter), the former member of the US national team. Career Shoji was a member of the Men’s Junior National Team in 2008 and 2009. He joined the senior national team in 2013 and helped the team win the gold medal at the NORCECA Championship. 2015 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup
The 2015 FIVB Men's World Cup was held from 8 to 23 September 2015 in Japan. The tournament served as a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The top two teams, USA and Italy, qualified for the Olympics, and joined Brazil as they had already secured a berth as the host country. United States Men's National Volleyball Team
The United States men's national volleyball team represents the country in international competitions and friendly matches. The team is governed by USA Volleyball. The team has won five Olympic medals, including three gold. History As the birthplace of volleyball, the United States founded the first association to regulate the sport. The United States Volleyball Association was formed in 1927, and was the founding member of FIVB in 1947. However, by the time of volleyball's international growth in the 1940s, the US was no longer a major power. They competed in the inaugural volleyball Olympic tournament in 1964. 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 25th edition of the tournament, and was held in Colorado Springs, United States from 26 September to 1 October 2017. The top three teams qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, whereas the fourth and fifth ranked teams qualified for the 2018 World Championship NORCECA qualification final four. Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation ( NORCECA). The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League was the fourth edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League, an annual men's international volleyball tournament. FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League
The FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League is an annual international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Lille, France. Russia won the inaugural edition, defeating France in the final.
