Erik Copes
Erik Copes (born January 29, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for Bashkimi of the Kosovo Superleague. Copes played four years of college basketball with the George Mason Patriots but left midway through his senior season for personal reasons. He attended Imhotep Institute Charter High School and helped his team win three consecutive Philadelphia Public League (PPL) titles. High school career Copes attended Imhotep Institute Charter High School, where he was a member of the Panthers' varsity basketball team for four years. He closed out his sophomore season in 2009 by bringing Imhotep its third PPL Class AA title in four years. Copes helped his team with 11 rebounds and 7 blocks as the Panthers defeated Pittsburgh Northern Catholic, 75–67, in double-overtime. The power forward (PF), also known as the four or strong forward, is a position in basketball. Power forwards play a role similar to centers. When on offense, they typically play with their backs towards the basket. Cady Lalanne (born April 22, 1992) is a Haitian professional basketball player who plays for Kuwait SC. He played college basketball for the UMass Minutemen. Early life Lalanne, son of Bertha Lalanne, was born in Port-au-Prince, the capital city of Haiti. He moved to the U.S. when he was 7 years old. The UMass Minutemen basketball team represents the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, Massachusetts, in NCAA Division I men's college basketball. The 2013 College Basketball Invitational (CBI) was a single-elimination tournament of 16 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I (NCAA), Division I teams that did not participate in the 2013 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Tournament, NCAA Tournament or the 2013 National Invitation Tournament, NIT. Colonial Athletic Association
The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I whose full members are located in East Coast states from Massachusetts to South Carolina. Most of its members are public universities, and the conference is headquartered in Richmond. The CAA was historically a Southern conference until the addition of four schools in the Northeast (of five that joined from rival conference America East) after the turn of the 21st century, which added geographic balance to the conference. The CAA was founded in 1979 as the ECAC South basketball league. It was renamed the Colonial Athletic Association in 1985 when it added championships in other sports (although a number of members maintain ECAC affiliation in some sports).
