Erie—Lincoln was a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that elected members to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. The riding was first contested in 1999. Created from the former Lincoln, Brant—Haldimand and Niagara South ridings, it was abolished upon the calling of the 2007 election. It was redistributed into Niagara West—Glanbrook, Haldimand—Norfolk, Niagara Falls and Welland. It consisted of the municipalities of Lincoln, West Lincoln, Wainfleet, Dunnville, Port Colborne and Fort Erie. Brant—Haldimand was a federal electoral district in Ontario, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1953 to 1968, and in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 1987 to 1999. The riding was created in 1952 from parts of Brant—Wentworth and Haldimand. It consisted of the counties of Haldimand and Brant. The townships of Burford and Oakland in Brant were excluded, along with the part of the township of Brantford lying south and west of Grand River, the part of the township of Brantford not included in the electoral district of Brantford, and the city of Brantford. The Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario (PC; ), often shortened to the Ontario PC Party, or simply the PCs, colloquially known as the Tories, is a centre-right political party in Ontario, Canada. Timothy Patrick Hudak (born November 1, 1967) is a former Canadian politician who led the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, Ontario Progressive Conservative (PC) Party from 2009 to 2014. Niagara Centre (renamed to Welland from 2006 to 2018) is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, represented from 1867 until 1977 and again since 2007 (under different boundaries) in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Its population in 2006 was 112,875. A new riding of Niagara Centre was created before the 1999 election from small parts of the Lincoln and St. Catharines—Brock ridings, and almost all of the Welland—Thorold riding. The current electoral district was created in 2003: 74.9% of the riding came from Niagara Centre riding, 22.5% from Erie—Lincoln and 2.7% from Niagara Falls riding.
