"Eraser" is the first single from Los Angeles-based band No Age's second album, ''Nouns''. It was released on Sub Pop on April 8, 2008 on the 7" Single format. It features 4 tracks, of which only one is an original song. According to Pitchfork Media, the covers came about when the band were trapped in their car during a snowstorm for 14 hours. During that time, they taught themselves to play the songs. No Age is an American noise rock duo consisting of guitarist Randy Randall and drummer/vocalist Dean Allen Spunt. The band is based in Los Angeles, California, and was signed to Sub Pop records from 2008 to 2013. No Age's fourth studio album, ''Snares Like a Haircut'', was released by Drag City on January 26, 2018. Drag City also released ''Goons Be Gone'', their fifth studio album, on June 5, 2020. ''Nouns'' is the first studio album by American noise rock duo No Age. It was (partly) recorded at Southern Studios in London. The album was leaked onto the internet on April 16, 2008, and subsequently released by Sub Pop on May 6, 2008. On May 5, it earned a 9.2/10 rating from Pitchfork Media; and is the website's joint highest-reviewed original release of 2008 (along with ''Dear Science'' by TV on the Radio and ''Microcastle'' by Deerhunter). The album ranked third in Pitchfork Media's list of the top 50 albums of 2008, and was listed at number 50 on ''Rolling Stones list of the best albums of 2008. Noise Rock
Noise rock (sometimes called noise punk) is a noise music, noise-oriented style of experimental rock that spun off from punk rock in the 1980s. Drawing on movements such as minimal music, minimalism, industrial music, and New York hardcore, artists indulge in extreme levels of distortion through the use of electric guitars and, less frequently, electronic instrumentation, either to provide percussive sounds or to contribute to the overall arrangement. The Urinals are an American punk rock band from Southern California, United States. The Nerves
The Nerves were an American power pop trio formed in 1974 and based in Los Angeles, California featuring guitarist Jack Lee, bassist Peter Case, and drummer Paul Collins. All three members composed songs and sang. They managed an international tour in the U.S. and Canada, including dates with The Ramones, and performances for the troops as part of the United Services Organization (USO). Career The Nerves lasted a short time and self-released one self-titled four-song EP in 1976, featuring the songs "Hanging on the Telephone" (Lee), "When You Find Out" (Case), "Give Me Some Time" (Lee), and "Working Too Hard" (Collins).
