The Hong Kong Sports Institute () is a sports institute located in Sha Tin, New Territories, Hong Kong. The team eventing in equestrian at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held at Greenwich Park from 28 to 31 July. The German team of Peter Thomsen, Dirk Schrade, Ingrid Klimke, Sandra Auffarth and Michael Jung won the gold medal. Great Britain won the silver medal and New Zealand took bronze. Vittoria Panizzon is an Italian equestrian and three-time Olympian. She has represented Italy at Pony, Junior, Young rider and Senior levels and has been a member of the national senior squad at major championships since 2005. Phillip Peter Dutton, OAM (born 13 September 1963) is an Australian-born Olympic-level equestrian rider competing in eventing for the United States of America. He is a dual Olympic gold medalist who formerly competed for his country of birth but now competes for the USA. Biography Dutton was born in Nyngan and was educated at Newington College (1976–1979). He pursued his passion for riding in Australia until 1991 when he moved to the United States to train in a more internationally competitive environment. In the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympic Games he was a member of Australia's Gold Medal Three-day Eventing Team and he has now represented Australia in three Olympics and four World Equestrian Games. Karen O'Connor
Karen Lende O'Connor (born February 17, 1958) is an American equestrian who competes in three-day eventing. Although she did not come from a family of equestrians, her interest in horses started at an early age, and she received her first horse for her 11th birthday. O'Connor began competing internationally in the late 1970s, and in 1986 began riding for the US national eventing team. Since then, she had ridden in five Olympic Games, three World Equestrian Games and two Pan-American Games, winning multiple medals, including a team silver at the 1996 Olympic Games and a team bronze at the 2000 Olympic Games. Rebecca Holder (born April 24, 1969) is an equestrian who qualified for the Eventing competition of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing from Mendota Heights, Minnesota, competing for the United States in her first Olympics. Cross country equestrian jumping is an endurance test that forms one of the three phases of the sport of eventing; it may also be a competition in its own right, known as hunter trials or simply "cross-country", although these tend to be lower-level, local competitions.
