The institute sponsors elite athletes and trains them as full-time employees, based on their talent and potential. The campus is located on reclaimed land on the bank of the Shing Mun River, next to the Sha Tin Racecourse. Bernadette Pujals (born 8 July 1968) is a Mexican Olympic dressage rider. Representing Mexico, she competed at two Summer Olympics (in 2008 and 2016). Anne van Olst (born 25 March 1962 in Aalborg, Nordjylland), also known as Anne Koch Jensen, is a Danish dressage rider. She was part of the Bronze winning Danish team at the Olympic games in Beijing 2008 and finished 23rd in the individual dressage at the 2012 Summer Olympics, riding Clearwater.
