''Epistictina reicheana'', is a species of leaf beetle found in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Tasmania. Description It is a medium-sized beetle. Body oval. Elytra dark reddish in color with many dark patches. Larva dark brown in color with a distinct pattern. Final instar grub is about 10 to 11 mm in length. Head and legs are much darker. Body covered with setae. Pupa is about 8.3 mm long. Pupa without urogomphi or apical processes. Sixth and seventh abdominal segments are also absent. Félix Édouard Guérin-Méneville, also known as F. E. Guerin, (12 October 1799, in Toulon – 26 January 1874, in Paris) was a French entomologist. Life and work Guérin-Méneville changed his surname from Guérin in 1836. He was the author of the illustrated work ''Iconographie du Règne Animal de G. Cuvier 1829–1844'', a complement to the work of the zoologists Georges Cuvier and Pierre André Latreille, ''Le Règne Animal'', which illustrated only a selection of the animals covered. The insects of the beetle family Chrysomelidae are commonly known as leaf beetles, and include over 37,000 (and probably at least 50,000) species in more than 2,500 genera, making up one of the largest and most commonly encountered of all beetle families. ''Stereospermum tetragonum'', the yellow snake tree, is 15–20 m tall, trunk 15–25 cm in diam, large leaves 25–50 cm; leaflets 3–6 on each side of midrib, long elliptic, 8-14 X 2.5–6 cm. Large, pale yellow, trumpet shaped flowers occur in panicles. Flowers are pale yellow, slightly curved, about 2 cm, upper lip 2-lobed, lower lip 3-lobed, tomentose at mouth, tube terete.
