The English College, Dubai is an independent school in Dubai following the British curriculum from FS1 to Year 13. It is located in the Al Safa 1 residential area, adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road, opposite Oasis Mall. The English College has 730 students from a variety of nationalities. The premises are purpose-built and houses a swimming pool, sports hall, two libraries, football field, basketball court, art studio and a Sixth Form common room. The English College is going through an extensive rebuilding and refurbishment programme in which classrooms are being added, such as the music rooms, art studios, science laboratories, the Sixth Form centre, dining facilities and food technology area. Sheikh Zayed Road
E 11 ( ar, شارع ﺇ ١١) is a highway in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The longest road in the Emirates, it stretches from Al-Silah in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and ends in Ras al-Khaimah emirate, running roughly parallel to UAE's coastline along the Persian Gulf. The road forms the main artery in some emirates' main cities, where it assumes various alternate names —Sheikh Maktoum Bin Rashid Road and Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, and Sheikh Muhammad bin Salem Road in Ras al-Khaimah. Al Safa is located in western Dubai and is bordered to the north by Jumeirah, to the south by Al Quoz, to the east by Al Wasl, and to the west by Al Manara.
