''Engaged to Death'' (Italian: ''I fidanzati della morte'') is a 1957 Italian sports drama film directed by Romolo Marcellini and starring Rik Battaglia, Sylva Koscina and Margit Nünke.Rondolino p.183 The veteran German star Hans Albers appears in a supporting role. The film portrays the lives of top motorcycle racing competitors. The film's sets were designed by the art director Carlo Egidi. It was shot in Eastmancolor. Valeria Fabrizi (born 20 October 1936) is an Italian actress, singer and television personality. Life and career Born in Verona, in 1936 Fabrizi made her acting debut in the revue ''Campione senza valore''. The same year, she had her first leading role in the comedy play ''Carlo non farlo''. In 1957 she entered the Miss Universe competition and appeared in the comedy play ''L'adorabile Giulio''. After having been the soubrette of the 1959 musical ''Una storia in blue jeans'' she became the prima donna of the Erminio Macario's stage company. In 1964 Fabrizi married Tata Giacobetti, member of the group Quartetto Cetra, and started appearing in their television works. Pietro Mario Pastore, also known as Piero Pastore (3 April 1908, in Padua – 8 January 1968, in Rome) was an Italian professional footballer who played as a striker; he later became an actor. Edoardo Toniolo (22 November 1907 - 31 December 1986) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Turin, the son of the stage actors Antonio and Rosa Rosaz, at young age Toniolo debuted on stage in supporting roles. He later worked on radio, and in the mid-1930s he started appearing in films, usually in character roles. After the Second World War, and following his role as leading actor in Ferruccio Cerio's ''Posto di blocco'', Toniolo also started working as a dubber, and since 1954 he was also pretty active in television dramas. Marco Guglielmi (6 October 1926 – 28 December 2005) was an Italian actor, screenwriter and author. Life and career Born Augusto Guglielmi in Sanremo, he graduated from ragioneria, then he enrolled at the university in the faculty of economics and business, though without finishing his studies. Guglielmi later attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, graduating in 1953, despite having participated in 1951–52 in a few films in minor roles. He then started a busy acting career on stage, television and cinema, even if often cast in supporting and character roles. Guglielmi also worked in fotoromanzi for the magazine ''Sogno''.
