Marinella ( el, Μαρινέλλα) (born 20 May 1938, Thessaloniki) is one of the most popular Greek singers whose career has spanned several decades. She has sung professionally since 1957. Since the beginning of her career, she has released 66 solo albums and has been featured on albums by other musicians. Giannis Spanos
Ioannes "Giannis" Spanos ( el, Ιωάννης "Γιάννης" Σπανός, ; 26 July 1934 – 30 October 2019), also transliterated as Yannis Spanos, was a Greek music composer and lyricist. In his early days as a musician he was also a piano accompanist. Spanos won the music prize at the 1971 Thessaloniki Film Festival for composing the score of the film '' Ekeino to kalokairi''. Biography Spanos was born in Kiato in 1934. His father was a dentist. Spanos was influenced by his sister's piano studies, and moved to Athens at the age of 17 to study at the National Odeum where he learned to play the piano. His father wanted him to become a scientist so he sponsored a yearly trip around Europe; Spanos lived briefly in Italy, Germany and the UK, eventually coming to Paris, France, whereto he eventually moved more permanently in 1961. Pythagoras Papastamatiou ( el, Πυθαγόρας Παπασταματίου, 12 April 1930 – November 12, 1979), mainly known by the mononym Pythagoras, was a Greek lyricist and playwright. Biography He was born in 1930 in Agrinio where he lived until he became 18 years old. His family was descended from Samos. His parents met each other in Smyrna (now Izmir, Turkey), shortly before the Asia Minor Catastrophe. The Asia Minor Catastrophe influenced his work later in his life (in 1972, he co-wrote the song ''Mikra Asia'' (''Μικρά Ασία'' "Asia Minor") along with Apostolos Kaldaras). Giorgos Katsaros ( el, Γιώργος Κατσαρός) (born on 7 March 1934 in Corfu) is a famous Greek musician and songwriter. He plays the alto saxophone. Sotia Tsotou ( el, Σώτια Τσώτου; 14 May 1942 - 10 December 2011) was a Greek lyricist and journalist. Tsotou was born on 14 May 1942 in Livadeia, a city in central Greece, and she grew up in Athens. As the only child of wealthy family she studied in Greek-French School of "Saint Joseph" in Attiki. From the age of 18 she started to work as a journalist while she was studying in Panteion University and Drama Schools of Pelos katselis and Kostis Michailidis. Alekos Sakellarios ( el, Αλέκος Σακελλάριος, 13 November 1913 in Athens – 28 August 1991 in Athens) was a Greece, Greek writer and a director. He was born in Athens and grew up in Agios Panteleimonas, Athens, Agios Panteleimonas and began to study journalism and acting at a young age.
