Hasse Ekman (born Hans Gösta Ekman; 10September 191515February 2004) was a Swedish director, actor, writer and Film producer, producer for film director, film, Theatre director, stage and television director, television. Biography Hasse Ekman is probably Sweden's most successful and critically acclaimed film director from the period after Victor Sjöström, Sjöström and Mauritz Stiller, Stiller and prior to Ingmar Bergman, peaking between the mid-1940s and 1950. He was greatly influenced by filmmaker Orson Welles and also by episodic-films. His most successful film as a director is often said to be the 1950 film ''Flicka och hyacinter'' (Girl with Hyacinths), a crime/mystery drama about a young woman committing suicide by hanging herself in her apartment. Hugo Björne
Hugo Björne (4 February 1886 – 14 February 1966) was a Swedish film and theater actor. Biography Ernst Hugo Alexis Björne was born in Varberg in Halland, Sweden. He made his stage debut in 1907 and belonged to the acting company of Hjalmar Selander until 1911 when he moved to the theater company of Einar Fröberg where he worked until 1914. Björne was involved at Svenska Teatern in Stockholm (1914–1925), at Vasateatern (1925–1926), at Oscarsteatern (1926–1932) and later at Vasateatern under the direction of Gösta Ekman (1932–1936).  After 1946, he became committed to the Dramaten. He made his film acting debut in 1913, starring in silent movies. Later, Björne would be better known as a supporting actor. He was quite productive, participating in more than 130 films where he often portrayed rather anonymous characters such as judges, professors and doctors. Hilda Borgström
Hilda Teresia Borgström (13 October 1871 – 2 January 1953) was a Swedish stage and film actress. Biography Born in 1871 in Stockholm, Borgström made her film debut in 1912. She starred in leading parts in Victor Sjöström's silent films ''Ingeborg Holm'' (aka ''Margaret Day'') (1913) and '' Körkarlen'' (aka ''The Phantom Carriage/The Stroke of Midnight/Thy Soul Shall Bear Witness'') in 1921. Borgström started out to be a dancer and trained at the old Royal Theatre's ballet school in Stockholm 1880–1887. Later she decided to turn to the theatre instead and studied drama. Her professional debut on stage came in 1890 at one of Albert Ranft's theatres. She was an actress of Sweden's national stage, the Royal Dramatic Theatre (Dramaten), between 1900 and 1912 and 1920 and 1938.
