Emmanuel Lomotey
Emmanuel Addoquaye Lomotey (born 19 December 1997) is a Ghanaian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Cypriot club Ethnikos Achna, on loan from Allsvenskan club Malmö FF. Club career Dreams FC Lomotey was born in Accra, Ghana. He finished his formation with Dreams FC. He made his professional – and Ghana Premier League – debut on 21 February 2016, starting in a 1–0 away win against Cape Coast Ebusua Dwarfs. Lomotey scored his first professional goal on 12 March 2016, netting the opener in a 1–1 home draw against Wa All Stars FC. He suffered relegation in his first season, but achieved immediate promotion from Ghana Division One in his second by contributing with ten goals in 24 appearances. Gideon Waja (born December 15, 1996) is a Ghanaian footballer who plays for Hamilton United in League1 Ontario. Club career Waja began his senior career with West African Football Academy in 2015, where he served as vice-captain. Afterwards, he became the team's captain in 2017. At the end of the 2016 season, the club received transfer offers from Aduana Stars and Kotoko, but he ultimately remained with WAFA. In November 2017, he began training with Kuwaiti side Qadsia SC. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game. Substitutions were officially added to the Laws of the Game in 1958. Prior to this most games were played with no changes permitted at all, with occasional exceptions in cases of extreme injury or players not arriving to matches on time. The Cypriot First Division ( el, Πρωτάθλημα Α΄ Κατηγορίας) is the top tier football league competition in Cyprus, run by the Cyprus Football Association. Since February 2016, it is sponsored by Cyta and is thus officially known as the Cyta Championship.
