Emirati Cricket Team In Oman In 2021–22
The United Arab Emirates cricket team toured Oman in February 2022 to play three One Day International (ODI) matches at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat. The fixtures formed part of the 2019–2023 ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 tournament, and were arranged to make up for matches between the two sides that were previously postponed during the fourth and eighth rounds of the competition. Oman's Jatinder Singh (106) scored a century in the first match, but Chirag Suri (115) led the visitors to a four-wicket victory. The second match was also won by the UAE, again by four wickets, with Basil Hameed taking a five-wicket haul. The third and final match ended as a tie, with the UAE winning the series 2–0. After the ODI series, both sides participated in a Twenty20 International (T20I) quadrangular series and the T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A. Zeeshan Maqsood (born 24 October 1987) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team and is the captain of the national team. The 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Global Qualifier A was a cricket tournament that took place in February 2022 in Oman, as one of two global tournaments that together form the final stage of the qualification process for the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full international status to Twenty20 men's matches played between member sides from 1 January 2019 onwards. Therefore, all the matches in the Global Qualifiers were Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Global Qualifier A was contested by eight teams that advanced from their Regional Finals, were eliminated in the first round of the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup, or were one of the highest ranked sides not already qualified to this stage. Mohammad Nadeem (born 4 September 1982) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team. Early life Nadeem was born on 4 September 1982 in Sialkot, Pakistan. He started playing cricket at the age of 10 at a ground close to his school in Sahowala.
