Emily Maguire (field Hockey)
Emily Maguire (born 17 December 1987 in Glasgow) is a Scottish international field hockey player who plays as a defender. She represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics. She competed for the national team in the women's tournament, winning a bronze medal. With over 150 international caps, she also represented Scotland at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games Maguire helped Scotland retain its A division status at the EHF Nations Championship in 2013 and in 2015. In June 2015 she was selected in the victorious Great Britain team at the 2015 Hockey World League Semi Finals which secured qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. Maguire currently plays club hockey in the Investec Women's Hockey League Conference East for Hampstead & Westminster. She is a product of the Kelburne Hockey Club, Paisley, Scotland. Holcombe Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in Rochester, Kent, England. The home ground is located at Holcombe Park, where there is a water-based pitch, a sand-based pitch and a clubhouse. The club was formed in 1999/2000 from a merger of clubs in the area. The Men's 1st XI play in the Men's England Hockey League, and the Ladies 1st Team play in the Women's England Hockey League. Reading Hockey Club is a field hockey club based at Sonning Lane in the English town of Reading. It is one of the most successful clubs in the United Kingdom with National League and Cup honours. The Men's First Team play in the Men's England Hockey League and the Ladies 1st XI team play in the Women's England Hockey League. Kelburne Hockey Club
Kelburne Hockey Club is a Scottish field hockey club, founded in 1969 and based in Paisley. Kelburne today operates five senior men's teams, three senior women's teams and numerous junior teams at all age group levels. The club has dominated Scottish domestic hockey in recent seasons. Kelburne HC has also supplied the Scottish National Team with the vast majority of the Gents' team as well as consistently being represented in the Scotland national ladies team. Hampstead & Westminster Hockey Club is a field hockey club based in London, England. It was established in 1894. The home ground is at Paddington Recreation Ground, Maida Vale. The Women's England Hockey League is a field hockey league organised by England Hockey that features women's teams from England. From 2011-2020 it was sponsored by Investec and was referred to as the Investec Women's Hockey League. Format Regular season There are 62 teams in the league, the top tier consists of a Premier Division of 12 teams. Below this is tier two, which consists of two ten team Division One regional teams (North and South). The third tier consists of three regional conferences North, West, and East, all consisting of ten teams. The teams play each other home and away during an 18 week season from September to April. The 2014–15 Women's FIH Hockey World League Semifinals took place in June and July 2015. A total of 20 teams competed in 2 events in this round of the tournament playing for 7 berths in the Final, played between 21–29 November 2015 in Rosario, Argentina. This round also served as a qualifier for the 2016 Summer Olympics as the 7 highest placed teams apart from the five continental champions qualified. The Scottish Hockey Union, commonly referred to simply as Scottish Hockey or the SHU, is the national governing body for the sport of field hockey in Scotland. The 2015 Women's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the 12th edition of the women's field hockey championship organised by the European Hockey Federation. It was held from 22 to 30 August 2015 in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London, England.
