Eldorado Emerson Private School (also known as Eldorado School and Emerson Choice Academy) was a co-educational private school in El Modena, Orange, California, United States. It was established in 1959 as a school for the gifted by Glory Ludwick. History Eldorado Emerson Private School was established in 1959, originally in Fullerton, California, as a school for the gifted by Dr. Glory Ludwick, M.D. (University of California Medical School), a psychiatrist who, according to the ''Orange County Register'', surrounds herself with fantastical objects including a unicorn, giving off the aura of "a magician". Emerson School For Visual And Performing Arts
Wirt-Emerson Visual and Performing Arts High Ability Academy, was a seven-year (6-12) middle/high school for the visual and performing arts in the Gary Community School Corporation in Gary, Indiana. For reference to the historic closed facility that originally housed Emerson VPA, and previously Emerson High School, see Emerson High School (Indiana). History Emerson High School closed in 1981 due to underpopulation. Emerson School for Visual and Performing Arts launched in 1982 after the closure of the high school. Emerson VPA was one of the first of its kind in the state of Indiana. In 2008 the Emerson building was shuttered due to mold issues. The district moved its visual and performing arts program first to the former Kennedy King Middle School, and in 2010 into the former William Wirt High School building in Gary's scenic Miller Beach community. Emerson High School was a public high school of the Gary Community School Corporation, located in a historic facility in Gary, Indiana, United States. For the magnet school that currently carries the Emerson name but has relocated, see Wirt-Emerson VPA Academy. In 1981, Emerson closed as a high school. For approximately 17 years, the facility housed a performing arts magnet program, which has since relocated and is still in operation. The original Emerson High School facility closed in 2008 due to lack of funds and building dilapidation, including mold. History Gary School Superintendent William Wirt used the Ralph Waldo Emerson School to be the first to use his new Work-Study-Play system of education, a "Whole Child" philosophy. Frisco Independent School District is a public school district based in Frisco, Texas, United States. The district covers portions of Denton and Collin counties, including portions of the cities of Frisco, Little Elm, Plano, and McKinney as well as unincorporated land. The district was originally formed in 1876 and is known as the Farmers School District. Small schoolhouses served the rural population at that time. The community of Frisco began to emerge in 1902 and the school district was renamed. The district is one of the largest in Texas and the nation. In 1995, Frisco ISD had four schools.
